Alexander Susha / Александр Суша
“Everybody has his or her memories – either vivid and distinct or hardly perceptible and dim, awakening some vague associations. And they are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for any artist, I’d say. I often catch myself thinking that I perceive my childhood’s world differently now: my granddad’s old chair, my granny’s mirror, measured rhythm of a churn, rattling of a sawing machine. And all that evokes very intense emotions…some insignificant event becomes influential – and that’s the way a painting is born.” Alexander Susha’s works are warm and kind, simple and sincere. The author uses a lot of golden-brown colors in his paintings.
